How to use the program?
The goal of the state initiative Veterans' Sport, implemented as part of the National Strategy for Creating Barrier-Free Space, is not only the physical recovery of people with war-related disabilities and combatants, but also their integration into society and overcoming social isolation. Rehabilitation programs and sports will help to facilitate the process of adaptation and make it invisible to the participants themselves, they will be able to create new strong ties and gain a sense of self-confidence and self-reliance.
The application process is as simple as possible. It is completely online and takes no more than a few minutes:
- Open the Diia.Card for the Veteran Sports program in the GlobusPlus application.
- Go to the Diia application and find the Veteran Sports subsection in the Services section, read the terms of service.
- Wait for the verification of compliance with all the requirements of the state initiative to be completed.
- Carefully check all the data in your application and click Send.
- Wait for the money to be automatically credited.
Please note that the application must be submitted by the 20th day of the first month of the quarter. For example, to receive a payment for the second quarter of this year, the application must be submitted by April 20.
Financial assistance can be used exclusively to cover expenses in the field of culture and sports, including attendance at sections and clubs, sports grounds, and gym memberships. It is important that the chosen institution has a vendor category code (SIC) 7941 “Physical culture and sports” or 7997 “Clubs - country clubs, membership”.

The program participant has a quarter to use the funds in which they were accrued, and the payment must be made exclusively in non-cash form. If for some reason you did not have time to spend the state aid, be prepared for one of two scenarios:
- if the money was not spent in full, the remaining amount is returned to the account of the Ministry of Veterans, and the participant receives UAH 1,500 in the next quarter;
- if the money was not used at all, it is returned to the account of the Ministry of Veterans, and the participant is automatically disenrolled from the program. They will be able to reapply to Diia in the next quarter.
The state initiative Veterans' Sport was implemented by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine as part of the National Strategy for Creating Barrier-Free Space initiated by First Lady Olena Zelenska.
